What could cause your answers account to become suspended if you had no violation emails?

This is NOT me. A friend opened and account, began answering questions (good answers at that) and within 4 days of opening the account, got suspended. They sent an email to yahoo and they responded saying they could not reinstate the account at this time because my friend was in direct violation of yahoo. However, no violation emails or reporting was done through any questions.

What could have caused this?|||A single TOS (Terms of Service) violation can cause suspension without notice. A 'multiple account' problem can do the same.

The most common TOS violations are:

%26gt; posting illegal material or links to 'illegal' material, including sites that allow or have to ability to allow downloads of copyrighted material. These postings violate the copyright laws and are not allowed.

%26gt; adult material

%26gt; harassment / privacy invasion

Without knowing what the questions or answers of this person were, we can't be specific, of course, but that is the direction to look in.

The multiple account issue can happen when a person makes 2 or more accounts from the same IP address, even if they are used separately -- or even if 2 FAMILY members are using the same computer to participate on this site. In the 2nd case, working with the YA staff MAY get the person either reinstated, or a new account that they can keep. But only if they can convince the staff that it really IS 2 family members, not one person cheating for points.
