How to you activate a youtube account with a yahoo adress?

Do I have to make a gmail account? Because the verification mail isn't going to my yahoo account and on the "yahoo on gmail" account I can't access an inbox. Anyone share this problem? How'd you fix it?|||Yes, you do have to make a gmail account.|||you can use what ever email to register youtube. if you didnt get verification email from youtube, try request it again.. ask it send again.. then wait for a while, you will get the email.. if not, try contact youtube..|||im not sure about your problem but all i did was create a gmail account and activated it. it sends you a link which the goes back to youtube i think but now your acount is activated. ths is what i did :/ hope you figure it out!
